I started the trip with just the kids. We drove to St. Louis to spend 2 nights before heading on to Branson. My mom came to St. Louis too- to help watch the kids while I started wedding festivities with Cass!!
This was our drive down. The kids (including Micah) did GREAT! Not much crying, lots of veggietale songs and movies and just 1 stop! It was a very smooth drive and I was SO thankful!
Cass was currently living with Nick's parents, so mom and I stayed in a hotel- Drury Suites- with the kids. It worked perfectly. They even had a cocktail hour complete with salad, chicken, chips, cheese dip etc- a full meal for us on the first night! The breakfast was awesome too- hot eggs, oatmeal, waffles and everything else! Caylee sleeps with me when we travel and Micah was in the living room area in his pack n play. Both kids slept WONDERFULLY both nights!
Wednesday, mom and I took the kids to the zoo before I went to have manicures with Cass and Katherine (maid of honor). It looked rainy, and sprinkled a little, but ended up being perfect. We were there when the zoo opened. Yep, my kids were awake early. The stingray exhibit was free the first hour the zoo opened. Caylee liked watching them, but didn't want to touch. This was a fun trip! The stroller worked perfectly for them and they both enjoyed the ride. Caylee loved sitting next to Micah.
Wednesday night Katherine had planned Cassidy's bachelorette party at Angela's house. She had fun questions made up, drinks, and food. Cass lucked out with some super cute things!

From Angela's apartment we walked downtown Clayton to eat (more food and drinks!). She picked Bocci's, a super cute Italian place! The town was adorable and we had a great time!! They gave free shots for the table, but no one seemed to like them. However, I ordered a few appetizer's for the table and they ended up sending out more free meatballs-- we devoured them! The manager and cook were so nice to us! Cass has a great group of friends and everyone had a wonderful time!
This was just the BEGINNING of a great week! I tried to take tons of pics, but ended up not getting certain pics that I wanted. Oh well, I'll post what I have and hopefully Cassidy's photographer was able to get more that I can get in the next few months!
Hey Brittany! I followed the link to your blog from FB--I love reading blogs and it's nice to read one written by someone I actually know! :) Great pics so far. I know what you mean though--I didn't get as many as I had hoped and I don't have many pics of the actual wedding/reception. Most of mine are from the day before and after! Hopefully we can all get CDs with their professional pics. Glad y'all made it back safely!
