Cass & Nick Wedding- Part 4!

I'm going to divide Saturday into 2 posts... a pre-wedding/ceremony and a reception post.

Wow.  Saturday was finally here!  It felt kinda weird to be honest.  This entire year of planning all leading up to one day.  Whew!

The kids slept in again, amazing!  We headed over to the Villa for breakfast and then headed back to the Cottage so I could shower.  I had to be ready early because I was going to hair appointments with the girls.  (I didn't plan on getting mine done, but she ended up fixing mine so it would stay and I loved it!)  Anyways, I showered and was all ready for the big day.  Matt had the kids and my aunt and uncle were coming to help him so he could make sure Caylee got her nap in. (and she DEFINITELY got her nap in... slept until he had to wake her to come to the chapel to get dressed!)

Cass, Katherine, Mom and Linda (Nick's mom) all had hair appointments.  Every one of them came out looking GREAT!

When we arrived back at the Villa we had about 15 minutes before the wedding planner arrived.  She brought us lunch and we had to start doing make-up and stuff right after.  It's amazing how quickly the time was passing!  After make-up, we headed down to the chapel to finish getting dressed.  I think the dresses Cass picked were gorgeous.  I really liked the dark navy and the one shoulder.  They seemed to flatter each girl nicely!

Then the time came to put Cass in her dress!! Woohoo!!  We had a slight problem fastening the back, but Amber came through and she was all snapped in.  She had these 3 tiny, almost invisible snaps and we couldn't figure out where they went.  We finally got it and she looked gorgeous!

All the time had FLOWN by, but then time stopped... for a WHOLE hour!  We did family pics with Cass, but those went by fast.  We went back in the bridal room and just waited.  Caylee was fairly happy, although by this point she had no bow in her hair and no shoes on (she wouldn't wear shoes for the rest of the night!).  Caylee played with Matt's candy he had given her... and don't think we didn't ALL have our eyes on her-- we did NOT want red, orange and green all over Cassidy's dress.

FINALLY... it was time to line up!  Oh the tears flowed... not by us, no, we were all smiles.... Caylee thought she had to see her daddy RIGHT THEN.  She was supposed to walk down after me, but after all the tears and with her seeing the other bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down I decided to let her go.  I pointed in the church and said "Daddy is at the front, go see him"... she started to run, and scream "daddy!".  Then, she tripped... she had barely made it in the door, but she tripped (remember she has no shoes on).  So she came running back to me and Tim and I (best man) carried her down the isle as she cried hysterically for "daddy".  Once she saw Matt she was quiet the rest of the time and even clapped at the end.

Adam was clinging to his dad as they tried to get him to walk down the isle too.  It's ok, everyone thought they were super cute and understood how hard it must have been.

The ceremony itself was beautiful and quick.  They had Nick's sister Angie read a verse from the bible.  They each said their own vows.  I cried during Nick's and I'm not sure many people heard Cassidy's, but they were all great.  They had a unity cross- very neat, I had never seen this before.  She found it online somewhere.  And then, just like that!  They were married!  We all walked out and started taking more pics... :)

I couldn't have a phone during the wedding to take pics obviously, so I'm posting some that others took and I'm hoping to get more as the week goes on.  I'll have to have a random post with pics that I collect!!!
