Dogs

Well, the next most common question I have been getting since we moved is:

How are the dogs adjusting?

Well... they're dogs!  How are they supposed to adjust?  They are just fine, but here's how they spend their day....

*What is he watching for?  Well... you see that barn?  There are ALWAYS men in it--that is the Yearling Barn....  The men take horses in and out to pastures, clean stalls, bail hay etc.  Sometimes the men even come into our yard to mow, weed eat and trim the bushes.... so he always has to be on the lookout.  And YES... that is a bay window that he has made his new lookout.  I keep the sheer curtains over it because they are light enough to let sun in, but also enough so that all those men can't see in the house.  Oddly enough, the living room itself has ZERO light fixtures... we have a lamp for night, but during the day the sheer curtains work best!

*Sammy lets us know when the men get too close and then Diego will get up on the couch and start barking too.  I usually let them bark a little bit (just enough so the men know there are dogs in the house and not to attempt anything...) and then I make them stop barking and they just watch... together...

And finally... we take walks down this road...

SO!  There you have it... that is how the dogs are adjusting and spending their days :)  Not that exciting, but people asked....
