This guy is 4 months today! (I'll update his stats next week after his Dr's appt)
Micah is wearing 3-6 and some 6 month clothes. He's still skinny, but seems long. We're still struggling with his reflux and it's something I'm going to talk to the Dr about next week. He just seems so uncomfortable and I feel bad for him, yet at the same time I am SUPER frustrated! He doesn't cry as much when taking a bottle, but spits up for HOURS afterwards... sometimes so much that it comes out his nose-- he REALLY hates that.
His naps are regular, but he frustrates himself. He sleeps about 45 min in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon and another 45 min nap in the late afternoon. However, on days he feels really bad that middle nap gets interrupted and he just cries for long periods of time. I end up usually holding him until he calms down and I can put him down. In the late afternoon he rarely gets put down because he is so fussy... this makes getting dinner ready HARD. I've tried to make more crockpot meals instead. He goes to bed btw 7:30 and 8, but usually wakes fussy at midnight until we calm him down (he almost always burps when I pick him up, telling me that it is gas that's bothering him). Then gets a bottle about 2am and wakes fussy again at 5am. By 5am I am so tired I usually just bring him to bed with me... that also helps so that he doesn't wake Caylee up. I'm hoping something changes in this next month- meds or he just has hit his peak (as some articles say) and he'll start growing out of this.
His happiest time of day seems to be right after breakfast (about 7am) when he spends time in his walker and Caylee plays with him. He does smile a lot at that point! If his afternoon nap goes well he'll be happy after that. So some things are definitely getting easier.
He sits well in the bumbo seat and stands well when holding his hands or in his walker. He LOVES toys and does well when we can be outside... he'll lay on a blanket for a while if we're outside. He does well in his carseat for short trips or in the stroller, but not long trips. This month we'll see how he does on an airplane....
That's Micah in a nutshell! He's doing better, but I still think we could be doing even better than this.... he's happy, yet frustrated.... he's ALWAYS moving and I have a feeling once he figures out rolling for real (he's rolled twice already) he'll be constantly going :) Looking forward to that... and to him feeling better... and to a full night's sleep!
So chill here...
So handsome!
LOVE THIS!
More typical of our days... at least periods of our days.
